A Sincere Note to parents:
Dear parents,
Welcome to ToothFables , Dentistry For Children, a clinical practice dedicated to kids dental care.
At ToothFables, our expert team headed by Dr Riddhi is dedicated to creating a fun and comfortable environment for your little ones while providing top-notch dental care.
Our clinic is thoughtfully designed to provide a comforting environment. From the moment your little one enters, they’ll be greeted by friendly faces, vibrant colours, and a playfully soothing atmosphere that helps ease any dental worries.
At ToothFables, we understand that building a foundation of good oral health starts from the very first tooth. Our personalized approach ensures that each child receives gentle, age-appropriate care
tailored to their unique needs.
Also ,we are quite aware that dentistry can be quite intimidating for kids. Unpleasant dental visits can be caused by various factors such as fear, pain, discomfort, or a negative experience during a  previous dental visit. These experiences can make a child anxious or hesitant to go to the dentist, which can lead to poor oral health and dental problems in the future.
Here are some tips and suggestions to help parents prepare for their child’s first dental visit:
1. Try and schedule the appointment at a time when your child is well-rested and alert. Avoid scheduling the appointment during nap time or close to meal times.
2. Talk to your child about the upcoming visit in a positive and age-appropriate way. Explain that the dentist will check their teeth, count them, and make sure they are healthy.
3. Avoid using negative or scary words, such as “drill”, “shot”, or “pain”. Instead, use positive and reassuring language to help your child feel at ease.
4. Encourage your child to ask questions and express any concerns they may have. Assure them that the dentist and dental team are there to help and will answer any questions they may have.
5. Bring along a favourite toy or blanket to help your child feel more comfortable and secure.
6. Be prepared to fill out a medical and dental history form, and bring along any relevant insurance information.
7. Finally, remember that the first dental visit is an important step in establishing good oral health habits for your child.
A child’s first dental visit is an important milestone in their oral health journey. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children have their first dental visit by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth eruption.
During the first dental visit, the dentist will examine the child’s teeth and gums, check for proper growth and development, and look for any signs of dental problems such as tooth decay or gum disease. They will also clean the child’s teeth and provide guidance on how to properly care for
their teeth and gums at home.
It is important for parents to prepare their child for the dental visit by explaining what will happen and being positive about the experience.
From tiny teeth to confident grins, we’re here to make every visit a playful and positive experience.
Regards,
Dr Riddhi & Team
